Ronaldo Tallies Twice, Ronaldo comeback continues - BetUK

The comeback continues, as striker Ronaldo netted a pair of goals in his latest start, pacing his side to a 2-2 draw against Ponte Preta. The teams were meeting in the Paulista championship.

Corinthians benefited from Ronaldo playing the full 90 minutes, a first for him since returning from injury on this latest comeback. This match marked his fifth appearance of the year.

The two goals were the second and third for Ronaldo with the club. He scored the equalizer at the 36 minute mark, tying the game at 1-1 when he won and converted a penalty.

But the best was yet to come, as Ronaldo added a highlight reel special with his second goal of the night. He collected a cross with his left foot, moved just inside his marker and fired the ball into the far side corner.

Corinthians allowed Ponte Preta back into the game with a tying goal late, having to settle for the tie. The Paulista is the largest of the regional championships which kick off the Brazilian season.

Triumph of Steven Gerrard, Manchester United Season’s Title - BetUK

Star player Steven Gerrard is feeling downright jubilant about his side's chances of catching Manchester United for this season’s title.

After Gerrard helped his side to a 5-0 thrashing of Aston Villa, he was quoted as saying, ‘It always sends a message when you win convincingly.

Everyone knows we are on a rich vein of form and confidence is high here. It's important we just focus on what we are doing, keep on their shoulders and keep piling that pressure on them.

His hat-trick in the 5-0 win was his first three-goal performance in the Premier League and put his team within one slim point of Man U atop the standings.

However, before anyone starts handing out hardware, we must remember that the crew from Old Trafford still have a game in hand. Man U are certainly capable of winning their remaining games.

But their current form has been downright awful, allowing the race to get very exciting.

With Liverpool playing like the best side in Europe right now, one misstep by the leaders and they could find themselves looking up at Gerrard’s team.

The latest rout was another sterling recent performance, as they have been quite dominant in beating Real Madrid in Champions League and taking apart Man U 4-1 last weekend.

It will be a great run to the finish. Reach out sports betting for current betting issues.

Liverpool can beat Villa to nil - BetUK

Here at BetUK we believe Liverpool will beat Aston Villa in their Premier League clash today. As Manchester United crashed 2-0 to Fulham yesterday Liverpool could go to just one point behind United if they beat Villa at Anfield today. That is about as motivating a factor as you will find in the Premier League these days.

Aston Villa are the third best away side in the division going on points collected but the key to this success is O’Neill’s counter-attacking strategy. The home side has to come out and attack which leaves enough space for the jet-propelled Ashley Young and Gabby Agbonlahor to exploit – but Liverpool are just too solid defensively for this to be effective at Anfield.

Javier Mascherano is always around to help out the back four, and with the Reds having kept eight clean sheets in their last 12 home league games, it’s clear that space is at a premium when visiting sides do make a rare forage into the opposition half.

As a result, we can see Liverpool winning today’s game to nil. We suggest backing Liverpool to win at 9/20 and also side bets on 1-0 and 2-0 to Liverpool, both at 11/2 with BetUK.

Arsenal play host to Hull in the FA Cup

With Arsenal looking back to their best at the weekend with a 4-0 drubbing of Blackburn in the Premier League tonight’s FA Cup match against Hull (starts at 7.45pm live on Setanta) is likely to go the Gunners’ way.

Since 1997/98, Arsenal are undefeated at home in the FA Cup and have 16 wins and eight draws in these games.

In this period 12 Premier League teams have visited the Gunners with an even split between wins and draws.

Where there might be some value is in the half-time/full-time market since opening halves have remained tight affairs with eight opening 45-minute draws (seven at 0-0). It could therefore pay to have a bet on Draw/Arsenal with BetUK.

Clash between West Ham and West Brom, Get With the Hammers

In football premier league clash between West Ham and West Brom (starts at 8pm on Setanta) the value looks to be in backing West Ham to win to nil.

West Brom’s atrocious away form and scoring record mean that it’s hard to look past West Ham here, and the home side to win 1-0 or 2-0, at 11/2 and 13/2 with BetUK, are the scorelines to bet on.

West Brom must pick up their form at some stage but Zola’s men are a team on the up at present and we can’t see it starting at Upton Park.

The Hammers have also been under 2.5 goals in 8 of their last 9 games in all competitions and that outcome is 4/5 but against the worst defence in the division that bet might not be the best one to make on this occasion.

Ronaldo makes his return,Cristiano Ronaldo comeback attempt - BetUK.com

Ronaldo makes his return. In another comeback attempt, Ronaldo took to the filed on Wednesday with Corinthians' in their Brazilian Cup match against Itumbiara.

He made his appearance at the 68-minute mark, taking to the field amidst a loud round of cheering from the fans at the Juscelino Kubitschek Stadium.
It was his first official match since he had surgery on his knee from an injury that occurred while he was playing with AC Milan last February.
Corinthians had a 2-0 lead when Ronaldo entered the game, a score that ended up being the final result, which meant Corinthians now moves on to the second round of the Brazilian Cup.
"Ronaldo makes his return, Cristiano Ronaldo"
While he didn’t have a real impact on the outcome, he did get several touches and did get free once or twice, but didn’t receive the ball to make a play.
He did have a final chance in injury time, but the referee called a foul on him when he tried to get past a defender inside the area.
Ronaldo has fought back from two previous knee injuries in his career, but both of those were over eight years ago. Since those injuries he was a key member of the Brazilian World Cup winning team in 2002.

He captured the tournament’s top scorer title with eight goals, which included a pair of goals in the final vs. Germany.
Ronaldo holds the record for the most goals scored in the World Cup, with 15.
