Indianapolis Colts Signed Linebacker Tyjuan Hagler


On Wednesday, Indianapolis Colts signed linebacker Tyjuan Hagler. Hagler selected in the fifth-round of the 2005 draft by the colts and released by the Seattle Seahawks on Sept.4 and more over he recently worked out for the Tennessee Titans.

Hagler is playing both outside linebacker positions and started 17 games in his four-plus season with the team.

Hagler will likely to play Sunday game at the Jacksonville Jaguars because weakside linebacker Clint Session missed two games and rookie Kavell Connor could miss several games.

In addition, the team waived backup tight end Gijon Robinson, and signed fullback Matt Clapp and wide receiver Chris Brooks to the practice squad.

NFL Employees Work Stoppage Plans

In this season, the Work Stoppage Process Lingered for the next year. This week, for the first time, the NFL office laid out the league’s plan to its employees in the event of a lockout or work stoppage.

Department heads were declares of what has been described as a three-phase plan to handle a lockout or work stoppage. They are then instructed to relay the plan to employees in each department.

The plan was divided in to multiple sources, Phase1, which would begin if a new collective bargaining agreement is not reached by April; implies pay cuts for Commissioner Roger Goodell and senior vice presidents.

Phase2 would entail the majority of league employees taking two-week unpaid leaves of absence. Phase Three would result in larger scale pay cuts and salary freezes.

According to Aiello, “Our employees are aware of both of the strident comments coming from the NFLPA leadership for more than a year and the union’s current actions to position itself to decertify and go out of business.”

Rio Ferdinand Hopes Victory


Rio Ferdinand is hoping victory to put Manchester United over Liverpool. Initially, Manchester United had good start in their Premier Season. But, their winning positions were dropped.

Ferdinand, who made his return from a knee injury against Rangers, is now looking forward for Sunday's showdown and is planning to pick up three points.

The Rea Devils were frustrated by Rangers in the UEFA Champions League in the midweek and now, they are preparing for the visit to Liverpool.

According to Ferdinand, this kind of game is always good for Spirit and belief. Hopefully, he will put us on the crest of a wave.

The Pickup Basketball Player, Jefferson Thomas Passed Away

Jefferson Thomas, 67, was a pickup basketball player known as "Little Rock Nine," passed away on Sunday.

Thomas is an African American among the nine students in the little rock high school. The little rock member, Trickey Brown stated that Thomas was dead in Ohio.

Thomas is a great athletic and he plays basketball with the white students in 1950s. The little rock foundation stated that, Thomas was died due to cancer.

The famous wordings stated by Thomas is "One of them said, 'Well I don't mind playing basketball or football with you or anything. You guys are good at sports. Everybody knows that, but you're just not smart enough to sit next to me in the classroom,'"

The President, Bill Clinton stated that, Thomas is great person and a good public servant.

Women’s Basketball Coach, Kelly Hall Passed Away

On Thursday, Kelly Hall, 51, died of heart attack at his home in South Carolina. Hall is a former women’s head coach for University of Cincinnati.

Kelly also performed as a coach for Louisiana-Lafayette from 2002 to 2007 and made a record of 65-28 in the final season. Hall has trained several, women’s basketball teams in his entire career. Kelly was removed as a coach from Cincinnati basketball team in 2009 for losing two seasons.

Hall also headed as an assistant coach for Mississippi, Alabama and Auburn Universities. He trained his team to play for six NCAA tournaments and one WNIT tournament.

Kelly Hall’s death was confirmed by McMillan-Small Funeral Home in Myrtle Beach.

Beatrice Capra To Play In WTA Tour

The 18-year old American tennis player, Beatrice Capra is going to play in U. S Open. Currently, she is ranked 371 in WTA singles. 

Capra has entered the grand slam tournament through the wild card entry. She has won the first round and entered into the second round by beating, Karolina Sprem with a score of 6-1, 6-3. She also entered the third round by beating, Aravane Rezai with a score of 7-5, 2-6, 6-3.

Capra stated that, "Every time I've just been given a wildcard I never do well. I like earning everything. I just think playing against tougher players in the wildcard playoff helped me a lot."

In the third round, Beatrice Capra is going to play against the World 18 ranked, Maria Sharapova.

Sania Lost in Second Round of U.S Open

The Indian tennis player, Sania Mirza lost in the second round of U.S open. She played against the Russian player, Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova with a score of 6-2, 6-4.

Sania lost her rank out of top 100 due to wrist injury and she had many hopes on Grand Slam to gain her rank. But, she lost the game in the second round of grand slam in New York. This is the first time to play in Grand Slam since 2005.

Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova is 20th-seeded and she entered to the semi-finals going too held in Cincinnati. Earlier, Sania has lost Wimbledon and Australian Open this year.

Coming to the men's doubles game, Leander Paes and Dlouhy lost the game against the doubles, Martin damm and Filip polasek with a score of 6-7 (7) 6-3 6-4.

Troy Polamalu Insured His Hair for $1 million

The NFL Player, Troy Polamalu has made an insurance policy on his hair for $1 million. Polamalu plays for Pittsburgh Steelers and he was drafted by Steelers in the year 2003.

Polamalu makes a deal with a shampoo company named, Head and Shoulders. Jonathan Watkins stated that, “In developing this unique policy, we recognize that Troy Polamalu’s famed head of hair is truly legendary and we are proud to partner with Head & Shoulders to protect it,”

According to the policy, Polamalu has to protect his hair which was grown several inches below his helmet and shoulders. He should not remove or cut his hair for the entire NFL season.

A female fan for Polamalu stated that "He is so hot and I just wanted to touch his hair, but I guess he had it up so the women wouldn't grab it."
