Marcos Baghdatis started strong, holding serve twice,serving notice to Andy Murray that he planned to battle on even terms.
In the fourth game, Baghdatis started missing forehands. Murray shrewdly drew him to net with a clever drop shot, then dragged the cycling Cypriot from side to side in the back court.

Two botched Baghdatis backhands gave Murray two break points, which he cashed in by keeping the ball deep and allowing Baghdatis to grow a bit flustered by his failure to pull Murray off the court. Soon they were changing sides and Murray’s locomotive seemed to be reaching warp speed.
