Netherlands began this tournament by winning with 2-0 against Denmark. Netherlands won the second match with 1-0 against Japan and in third match they defeated Cameroon with 2-1. Netherlands has won all group matches. In Round of 16, Netherlands won against Slovakia with 2-1. In quarter-finals, Netherlands over whelmed Brazil with 2-1 and they over whelmed Uruguay with 3-2 in semi-finals.
In their head to head matches Netherlands won four matches and Spain won three matches in 12 international matches.
