On Sunday, Australia won the toss and elected to bat first, Australia scored 478 runs for the loss of 10 wickets in 1st Innings. An MJ North 128 run makes Australia a reasonable score against India.

Vijay scored 139 runs and Sachin 213 runs made India leads over Australia. India lead by 6 runs with 5 wickets remaining in the 1st Innings.
