Minnesota Wild vs Atlanta Thrashers NHL Highlights

Pavelec won for the first time since the collapse at the start of the opening race of the season to save 32 in the Thrashers' 5 -1 victory over  Minnesota Wild on Thursday night.

23 year old goalkeeper, collapsed two minutes into the opener Oct. 8 opener against Washington and the constant concussion when the back of his head hit the ice. He stayed for more than two weeks and lost in regulation time and twice in shootouts before beating the Wild.

Andrew Ladd and Fredrik Modin each had a goal and an assist as the Thrashers end a sequence of three defeats and snap Minnesota's winning streak to three games.

Ben Eager, Jim Slater and Nik Antropov also scored for the Thrashers, and Dustin BYFUGLIEN Tobias Enstrom and had two assists.

Antti Miettinen scored a power-play goal for the Wild in the third period to avoid first shutout of the team of the season and avoid becoming Pavelec third shutout of his career.

Wild shutout bid spoiled Pavelec for 3 minutes in the third when Miettinen deflected shot power-play Brent Burns from the right circle. But the Thrashers, who scored on the Minnesota next power play, Modin to get a short-handed goal on a pass from Tobias Enstrom.
